signing and Stand Up and Scream (2008–2009)
Asking Alexandria have their roots in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where guitarist Ben Bruce started a band. Shortly after the band release their full length debut album under the name of Asking Alexandria, The Irony of Your Perfection, they decided to disband. Bruce has in an interview at later date that the band known as Asking Alexandria from Dubai only had the name for about a month before leading to their disbandment, hence the band never embarked on this tour.

In 2008, Bruce moved back to England, leaving behind his former band and its members. However, Bruce had no plans on putting his musical career on hold and not long after the move he started fresh with new members, though deciding to carry on the name Asking Alexandria. Bruce has stated on the bands MySpace-blog that he was the inventor of the name, that he still liked it and the meaning/reason behind the name still remained, and therefore decided to continue it in the new project.[1] He also made an emphasised statement in the same blog post that the current Asking Alexandria is not the same band that wrote The Irony of Your Perfection, in style nor members,[1] hence they are two different bands, despite their links. The same statement has been emphasised in interviews and is known to still be a confusion to many fans.
Asking Alexandria, since their formation in 2008, has had some member changes, including going from a six-piece to a five-piece, with the departure of synthesist Ryan Binns.[2] The last known change was bassist Sam Bettley, who replaced Joe Lancaster in January 2009.[3]Lancaster played his final show at Fibbers in their hometown York on January 4.[4] The band left for the United States the day after the show to promote their music through shows, as well as to prepare for the recording of their debut album.

Other releases and Reckless and Relentless (2010–present)

Asking Alexandria announced their first ever headlining tour on March 2, taking place in North America through May to the start of June. Bruce responded with great detail about their plans. Reckless and Relentless will be available for pre-order in December and will be released in February. He also stated that in November of 2010 they will be releasing a reissue of Stand Up and Scream, the reissue album is said to contain more of a "dubstep feel" to the content. Bruce also mentioned that it will contain a bonus DVD that will have a live music video of "If You Can't Ride Two Horses at Once... Then You Should Get Out of the Circus." They are also preparing a music video for "A Prophecy" that will be included on the bonus DVD if finished in time.
On November 23, 2010, Asking Alexandria added a new EP entitled Life Gone Wild for pre-order, set to be released on December 21, 2010.[11] Asking Alexandria's new EP, 'Life Gone Wild' contains "Breathless", dubstep remixes of "A Single Moment of Sincerity" and "Not the American Average," two Skid Row covers of "18 and Life" and "Youth Gone Wild," and an unreleased demo version of "I Was Once, Possibly, Maybe, Perhaps A Cowboy King."

Self-titled album and Franck's departure (2010–present)
Main article: Attack Attack! (album)
Attack Attack! headlined the 2010 Artery Across the Nation Tour with support from Asking Alexandria, I See Stars, Breathe Carolina and Bury Tomorrow in early 2010. The group performed three songs off their self-titled album live during the tour before its release. The songs performed were "Sexual Man Chocolate", "AC-130", and "A For Andrew".[13] The self-titled album was released on June 8, 2010. The working title for it was intended to be "Shazam!", but was changed due to copyright issues.
The group performed on the Altec Lansing Stage during Warped Tour 2010 for the entire tour. They will be venturing on the This Is a Family Tour in November.[14]
On November 11, 2010 Johnny Franck announced he had departed from the band to focus on his relationship with God. He has started a new project called The March Ahead.[15][16] With this news also came a clip of a new song featuring Caleb Shomo doing both clean, and unclean vocals.[17] During their current tour, Sean Mackowski of My Ticket Home is filling in Franck's spot, which is, according to Andrew Wetzel'sFormspring, because "there are too many singing/screaming parts that over lap" and that it's "just not possible for [Caleb Shomo] to do it yet."[18] In December 2010, Attack Attack! released a clip of a new song on their Myspace. On January 21, 2011 the band released the music video for their Self-Titled album, the video is for "Smokahontas" directed by Thunder Down Country.[19]

Bla Bla Blast! started by the acquaintance of Ferron & Rico by the internet in January 2007. They never really met before but they found same interests into music and decided to start a side project. As Rico has a well capability in making music and Ferron has been a vocalist since years ago, so they agreed on each other then Bla Bla Blast! was formed. At one point in the process of their music making, they decided to start searching for a guitarist to maximize their sound for live performances. Ditsa and Ferron have known each other before, and Ditsa actually offered himself to join. Ditsa has made very good accomplishments in music, so Ferron & Rico recruited him immediately in May 2007. They worked on making music separately, as they live in distant places (Ferron in Netherlands, Rico in Semarang, and Ditsa in Jakarta) and brought their music for society listening by their online profile on Myspace. They finally met in the end on June and started their relationship from just co-workers to best friends.
